This statement has been prepared to help people with disabilities and physical impairment to assess whether these premises will be accessible to them.   

The bungalow   

• 104 Brambles Chine is a self catering, single storey bungalow on a largely level site.

• The bungalow is set back approximately 5.25 metres from a tarmac road, access from the road across the grassed area is via a 1 metre wide slab path; note there is a slight kerb of about 25mm (1 inch) from the road to the path.

• Access to the bungalow is up two steps, one from the main path to another step with an area of 915mm x 460mm (36 inches x 18 inches) of approximately 75mm in height (3 inches), another over the door threshold to the inside of the bungalow of approximately 200mm in height (8 inches), there is no provision for a wheelchair ramp.

• The main entrance door opening width is 750mm (29.5 inches) and opens inwards against a wall.

• All internal door opening widths are 711mm (28 inches) all doors open against a wall.

• Height of all the beds (2x single & lx double) is 84mm (23 inches)

• Height of kitchen work surfaces is 915mm (36 inches)

• The property comprises of a shower over the bath, a grab rail is sited at the bath.

• Water taps in the bathroom are of the multiturn crosshead type, the shower control is by manual lever mixer, WC flush via dual pushbutton. The kitchen tap is a single lever mixer type.

• Guide (service) dogs are welcome.

• The property is fitted with a battery operated audible smoke detector/alarm.

Getting there 

• The nearest bus stop is approximately 1.2 Km away and access to the site is via an unadopted road in poor condition. The nearest railway station is approximately 30 Km away.

• The Lymington to Yarmouth ferry port is approximately 5 Km away and taxis are usually available.

• The site access to the beach is via steep steps from the top of the cliff.
