Site Facilities:

Brambles
Chine is a holiday village, set on the cliff top above
Colwell Bay.

The
site is 2 miles from the ferry terminal at Yarmouth, from
where taxis are usually available. Busses also run from
the port, though the stop for Brambles Chine is at the end
of the ½ mile access road to the site.

There
is a small shop for every day needs on the site and a coin
operated launderette. Staff in the reception area will be
pleased to assist with practical needs during normal
working hours, though they do not have special training
for specific disability requirements.
Description
of Premises:
-
Semi
detached self catering holiday bungalow, all on one level,
and consists of 2
bedrooms, a shower / wc, and a combined kitchen / living
room area. The
premises are fully double glazed and centrally heated.
Outside is a level patio, which is surrounded by a sloping
lawn.

Although
this bungalow affords spectacular view of the Needles and
Colwell Bay, access to the beach is via a steep path and
steps.

There
is a 8 inch step into the bungalow through a standard 2ft
3in wide door.

Internal
doors are standard 2ft 3in.

The
bedrooms consist of one double and one twin bedded room.

There
is a 10 inch step into the shower tray.

The
kitchen is fully fitted with fridge/freezer, oven/hob and
dishwasher. Worktops are at standard height. Lounge area
has TV with Freeview box and a DVD player.

There
are 4 arm chairs in the lounge, 2 of which are of the
reclining type.

There
is an audible fire alarm.
Summary:
Overall
the premises have limited accessibility and circulation space
for wheelchair users and would not be suitable for permanent
wheelchair users. The floor surface (carpet/vinyl) within the
bungalow is level and in good condition.
